Gentlemen By Choice Community Development Corporation’s (GBC) Youth Personal Development and Leadership program is a social-emotional intervention and prevention alternative designed to provide training to youth in the areas of Leadership, Image, Financial management and Etiquette (L.I.F.E.). The program promotes continous growth, supportive relationships, problem-solving and civil engagement in the service of the whole child. The program deliberately targets at-risk youth from underserved communities. A strategic blend of structure, discipline, and professionalism provide youth with the “how to” in L.I.F.E. skills training. Priority is placed on teaching youth soft skills (work ethic, effective communication, self-esteem, positive attitude, adaptability, critical problem solving and teamwork) associated with success.

Gentlemen By Choice’s Youth Personal Development and Leadership program's primary mission is "developing tomorrow’s leaders today." The secondary mission is to revolutionize youth mentorship by intentionally raising organizational standards and delivering a high quality program that provides youth substance, strategies and practices that will prepare them for the 21 Century workforce and social engagement.
