
Michael Holmes
Captain Michael Holmes uniquely began his career serving the community as a firefighter for the Clark County Fire Department at the age of 17. With over 30 years of experience, and extensive skills in personnel management, emergency management, and contingency planning he a highly respected and valued member of the Clark County Fire Department. Captain Holmes has spent over twenty years of his career as Captain with the most recent years protecting the millions of visitors that arrive through McCarran International Airport, as a Captain of the Aircraft Rescue Fire Station.
His passion for helping others is highlighted in his role as the Director Fire Prep and Leadership Academy. This academy is focused on preparing the next generation of fire service leaders. Michael spends countless hours developing curriculum and mentoring the participants of this academy.
Michael also finds himself volunteering with local community organizations focused on youth and community development.
The family is a core value that will always be a priority in his life. As a husband of 17 years and a father of 6 children, there is never a dull moment. He prides himself on his ability to play a very active role as a father in his children’s lives.
